The first dance club in Washington, D.C., was founded in 1882 in the basement of a church.
In the 1980s, it became a destination for local music lovers to gather and party, as well as a hub for performers, performers, and more performers.
Now the St. Charles Dance Club is home to its own dance program, as a venue for performances and parties.
In addition to its signature storied building, the club also hosts weekly dance nights, a monthly pop-up event, and a monthly party.
The club hosts performances by local talent as well, including a weekly DJ set by DJ Sondra Jones.
